If you’re “on call” but don’t need a formal work setup, working from the beach takes on a whole new meaning at the Seabrook Island Beach Club! This private, oceanfront club boasts two saltwater pools and a sandy beach surrounded by sun loungers and shaded cabanas, a casual bar & grill for snacks and beverages, and the Pelican’s Nest, an oceanfront open-air bar and restaurant where you can pair your work with perfectly prepared seafood and chilled chardonnay. Traveling with kids? The kid’s activities at the Beach Club will keep the kids happily entertained as you tackle your tasks.

Seabrook Island’s award-winning golf courses are a top draw card for remote workers and professionals mixing business with pleasure on vacation. Located directly across from the Beach Club, the Island House is the formal clubhouse for the Ocean Winds and Crooked Oaks golf courses, open year-round with several seating areas to get some work done. Find tranquil golf course views at the Bohicket Lounge or out on the Golf Verandah or stunning ocean vistas from the Palmetto Room or Sea View Terrace. If you require a meeting space, call to inquire about reserving the private Ashley Room at the Island House – before or after a round of golf on our eco-friendly fairways. Club casual sports attire is required!

The Seabrook Island Lake House is known for its state-of-the-art fitness and training facilities, but within this sprawling Lowcountry clubhouse lies a lesser-known hidden gem, the Seabrook Island Library. The library works on an honor system (your gently used books are appreciated!) and is well-stocked with books, magazines, puzzles, and DVDs with a comfy lounge area to relax. If you prefer the outdoor office concept, find a spot to work on the verandah or set up on the poolside patio while the kids play – shaded tables and sun loungers are your work options!

Java Java is the local hub of Freshfields Village – an independently owned coffee shop serving breakfast, lunch, and award-winning King Bean coffees from Charleston! 9. Salty Dog Café

For technical support, call or email their computer guys – they’ll even come to your Seabrook Island vacation home if needed!
