3. TAKE A BIKE RIDE Through Paradise


Seabrook Island’s extensive network of paved bike trails is perfect for family bike rides! Seabrook is a private community and speed limits of 25 MPH are strictly enforced making it safe for beginner and young bikers. Whether you’re traversing tranquil marshlands, winding through dense maritime forests, or cycling the Atlantic Coast shoreline, biking on Seabrook Island offers a safe and peaceful family-friendly adventure that showcases the island’s natural beauty. Families with older kids and teens can pedal all the way to the open-air shopping market at Freshfields Village, restaurants and water activities at Bohicket Marina, and on to explore the beauty of Kiawah Island.

4. Saddle Up For A Horseback Ride


Experience Seabrook Island from a new perspective on miles of scenic equestrian trails. The Seabrook Island Equestrian Center is the only full-service equestrian center in the greater Charleston Area and caters to your whole crew! Reserve parent-led pony rides for the little ones, or scenic trail rides and beach rides for beginners (ages 8 and up). 

Local’s Tip: If riding horses on the beach is on your kid’s bucket list – come to Seabrook Island! Trail rides are available Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Call the Equestrian Center at (843) 768-7541 to reserve a spot!  

5. Lake House Playground & Pools


The Beach Club pools may be closed for the season (closed November – March), but that does not mean swimming season is over! The Seabrook Island Lake House welcomes families during the winter months with a heated indoor pool, fitness facilities and classes for the older kids, nature trails, and beautiful lawn areas with an outdoor playground for the little ones to clamber and climb. 6. GOLF ON THE Kids Course


Young golfers can perfect their swing on Seabrook Island’s eco-friendly golf courses where you’ll find a variety of golfing options for the entire family! Seabrook Island Club offers state-of-the-art practice facilities, group lessons, private coaching, and US Kids Courses and family tees are set up on both the Ocean Winds and Crooked Oaks golf courses. The Ocean Winds course offers a slightly more challenging experience with coastal winds and intricate layouts, while the Crooked Oaks course is far more forgiving, making it ideal for beginners and young golfers. 

Local’s Tip: Guests on Seabrook Island can book tee times 3 days in advance by calling the Pro Shop at (843) 768-2529. Tee times begin at 12 PM and kids under 12 play for free when playing with an adult!

7. Play Pickleball


Discover the joy of pickleball on Seabrook Island – a fun-filled family sport that’s easy for all ages to learn and enjoy! The redesigned and expanded Seabrook Island Racquet Club features 15 Har-Tru clay courts with two dedicated pickleball courts, lighted for night play. Court times can be reserved through the Pro Shop at (843) 768-7543 or you can sign up for a family pickleball lesson with a seasoned pro. Pickleball facilities are also available at the highly acclaimed Roy Barth Tennis Center on Kiawah Island and the Alan Fleming Tennis Complex on Johns Island, where pickleballers can play for free!

8. Explore Charleston


The Holy City of Charleston is a must-see destination during your stay on Seabrook Island. It’s a wonderful learning experience for the kids, blending culture and history with endless family-friendly attractions. En route, stop by the towering Angel Oak for a family selfie, ride the historic streets in a horse-drawn carriage, tour the Charleston Harbor, and discover Charleston’s favorite family attractions.
