Seamless, very nice 5-night stay on Seabrook Island
Seamless 5-night experience on beautiful Seabrook Island, SC. Pretty views, friendly people, pristine beaches (ok, small to no waves took a bit of getting used to) all accessed from a nice, clean, updated three bedroom, beachfront unit. Happily recommend.

Piece of paradise!
It was our first time visiting Seabrook and couldn’t have asked for a better trip! The villa was perfect for our family of 5 and my parents. The beach was a short walk down the boardwalk and right on the river. We could easily walk to the pool (less than a 10 min walk) or drive down if we wanted to head to the beach and the pool. My only complaints would be the shower head in the downstairs bathroom wasn’t very good, and the staircase railing was super sticky. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely book again!

July 12-16 2021 Vacation - Pelican Watch
The island was beautiful, just as we remembered. Gatehouse team make a first great impression. However, the golf course was a disappointment! We were not advised at rental booking that one course was closed. The ocean course was in poor condition, greens were terrible...nothing like the great experience before. At the price of golf, expected more. The rental was great--except the dumb waiter did not work. We are senior citizens and had to go outside and use the stairs b/c the circle stairs are quiet dangerous. The picture made it appear to be wider steps--there should be a warning posted on the rental site. Love the bike trails!! However, Island Bike Rental needs to check their bikes before delivering. Chains hit guards and clanged on 2 of 4 bikes rented. No zippers on the pouches worked. Perhaps you should mention this to them since they are your referral. Freshfields is always a lovely treat. Visited and purchased at lots of shops. The Island Spirts ladies were less than cordial. Perhaps they didn't like the fact that we biked over and were not dressed to the 9's. :-)

Thank you so much for your stay with us at 1373/74 Pelican Watch Villa! We appreciate your valuable feedback. Just as a note to all guests, there is no dumbwaiter advertised for this property. The golf courses fall under the Seabrook Island Club and their schedule of maintenance is not shared with lodging hosts. They always strive to keep amenities open as much as possible, but do need attention from time to time. For the most accurate, up to date information on the Club we encourage guests to call the Club amenity office for assistance. We look forward to hosting your family again for a Seabrook Island getaway.

Very impressed with the quality of the condo. It is much nicer in person than it appears in the photos. Perfect set up for a family.

Great accommodations!
The setup was updated & perfect for our two teens who each brought a friend. The unit was impeccably clean which was reassuring given COVID. Beach was gorgeous & peaceful although we wound up driving to the beach near the pool for better waves (kids preference) which wasn’t a big deal at all. Only complaint, very poor (to non-existent) WiFi.

Great stay. Beautiful place. Betsy was great.
Twin beds too small and uncomfortable. Queens?

Very loud Bob White outside the bedroom at night-unable to sleep!. Noisemaker?

Dead bolts off back deck difficult to use.

More towels per guest.

Thank you very much for your visit with us! So sorry your guests didn't like the twin beds. The owner prefers this type of bedding for more gender friendly sleeping options, unfortunately the room isn't large enough for 2 queen beds. Please don't hesitate to call us if we may assist you with additional items during your stay! Thanks again

Great unit for family with teens
Two-story layout gave everyone room to spread out. Great kitchen and views. Beach is on river, but still beautiful and feels like ocean -- dolphins, birds, etc. Easy to explore Charleston in off-season. Not sure I would want to make drive in heavy traffic of high season.

Thank you so much for visiting with us over the holidays! We love the layout of this 2 story, 3 bedroom end unit with double decks! We agree it is a great choice for families with older kids and adults. Happy 2020! We look forward to assisting you again with a future stay on our beautiful island.

Perfect Beach Getaway!
This villa is very modern for these villas! And, our family of 5 including 3 adult children was perfect! Loved the split level with master being upstairs and guest rooms downstairs. Special treat was the laundry room having full sized washer and dryer. Would have loved being able to use the dummy elevator to help bring have cases of drinks upstairs, although we kept most drinks downstairs and used the little refrigerator. Would definitely recommend this villa!!! Lovely place.

Great family escape!
This was a wonderful 3 bedroom unit that my husband and myself shared with my grandchildren and their parents. The spiral staircase was a concern at first glance but proved relatively safe after using a baby gate. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The cooktop might need a handy user manual for those wanting to cook right away. I believe it is an induction cooktop? Maybe google it before you visit? The outdoor furniture was very nice. The pics didn't do it justice. I would visit again. Just be mindful you will be climbing stairs if there are more than 2 of you and you want to watch the big screen tv.

Amazing Vacation - 5 stars!
10+ years visiting Seabrook. Lovely condo amenities. Gorgeous ocean/river inlet view. Dolphins, shrimp boats. Recent upgrades make a gorgeous condo. Spiral staircase is beautiful, however, hard on knees of anyone who has knee problems. Had a great time visiting the island and Charleston. This condo is perfect for a set of couples, or a family. Worked with Seabrook Exclusives to book the trip.

Review
The view was beautiful and the upgrades were beautiful. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms were very nice and the kitchen and bathrooms had plenty of space. However, there were several things that we found disappointing. First, the plastic resin furniture on the two patios were discolored and generally very cheap. When you pay this type of money for a condo you are paying for the view and you would expect nicer furniture on the patios. Second, while they had a "grocery elevator" to help carry things onto the second floor (kitchen and master bathroom were on the second floor), the elevator was locked so it was cumbersome to walk up the spiral staircase. You could have walked up from the outside but we did not have a key to the entry way to 1374 so that would have also been cumbersome. Last, we could not figure out how to use the touch screen stove and therefore couldn't use it. This was extremely disappointing because our breakfast was ruined that morning. You should have full instructions in clear view how to use.

Convenient and Updated Condo - Not Perfect Though
The customer service from Seabrook Exclusives was great from start to finish. Made checking in and out very easy and responded to inquiries we had in a timely and professional manner.

The unit was convenient to the pool and beach, which was a must for us. A short walk to the beach or a short drive to the pool. We have two kids under 3 so the convenience was a must. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated and well appointed. The view from the kitchen was great as it is a very open design, which we very much liked. It was clean, had adequate dishes, cooking utensils, etc. The downstairs tv area is very nice with newer furniture and a nice entertainment set up.

Negatives:

1. There is no tv on the top floor. We like to watch the news while cooking or let our kids watch cartoons during breakfast. If this was our unit, this is something we would absolutely do

2. TV on lower level broke midway through our stay. Obviously this is no ones fault but given the situation with no tv upstairs I would have hoped a refund or make good would have been offered.

3. The master bed was uncomfortable and the linens were very bad. If we came back, we would bring our own linens. We did not sleep well here.

4. The dishwasher had a distinct odor to it. We heard other units had the same odor

5. Spiral Staircase - not ideal for children. If you do bring children to stay here, make sure to bring gates. Obviously not much owners could have done with the design, but want future guests to be aware that it is awkward and could be dangerous to children

Hi Mr Wrinkles. Thanks so much for your very thoughtful feedback. Great news! The owner has replaced the mattresses in the king bedroom and also the twin bedroom. The linens have also been upgraded. We hope that everyone sleeps well on their vacation! I do hope you will visit with us again! More good news! The owner has added a flat screen TV that is mounted in the kitchen. The screen may be tilted so guests in the dining area may also view the programming!

Lacks nothing, the ideal vacation rental!
Seabrook is our absolute happy place, providing our family over twenty years of great vacation experiences! This was our first stay in 1373/74 Pelican Watch and the villa was an ideal place. Nicely updated, offering both comfort and location. The kitchen was well equipped and the space provided both family room and get a way spaces. It was wonderful and we will return!

Love the View
This condo has a beautiful view. The kitchen has great upgrades making it easy to use. Beach chairs are a real plus as are the upstairs deck chairs. A hair dryer would be a handy addition as well as a TV upstairs that is not in the master bedroom. Our group likes to congregate in one area so the TV downstairs made that awkward since there wasn't enough seating there for everyone.

Family Getaway
This was our second time staying in Seabrook Island and renting through Seabrook Exclusives. We found them to be very professional and helpful. We were there the first week of June and had a terrific vacation again. The house was beautiful, well-appointed and very well cared for. There are beautiful ocean views from both levels and the layout worked well for our family traveling with 3 teenagers. They had some privacy downstairs and we had some quiet upstairs. The house is walking distance to the pool and club house. We travelled with another couple who rented a single unit next door. They are a little older than we are and they preferred to drive down to the pool and Pelican's Nest where we enjoyed several relaxing meals. Fresh Fields is also very convenient for shopping and casual dining. Bohicket Marina offered more choices for dining, shopping and boating excursions. Seabrook is a very special place and wonderful family destination. It is very peaceful and relaxing. We can't wait to go back again!

The Perfect Blend of Relaxation and Activity
This Vacation home in Seabrook Island, SC is the perfect place for everyone. Our family ranged in age from 3-66, and everyone had a wonderful time. The unit itself is very large and immaculately maintained. There are two floors which provide plenty of living space, and the sleeping accommodations are very comfortable. The two balconies offer amazing views of the incredible South Carolina Sunset on the water, as well as the clear star filled skies at night. The unit is steps away from the boardwalk to the private beach, which to our great fortune housed many Loggerhead Turtle nests this summer. My children and I were even treated to the sight of the baby hatchlings making their trek to the sea. The beaches are uncrowded, and seem to stretch for miles. The community itself is very quiet. You won't regret booking a vacation at 1373/74 Pelican Watch Vila.

First visit to Charleston and area beaches
We were very pleased with the villa, its location and everything that Seabrook Island had to offer! As noted, this was our first visit to the SC area, having made many prior vacation home rentals on Caribbean islands in over the years - our expectations were not high. In short, we cannot wait to return! We are already planning our next visit to Seabrook, but with more family members along to enjoy the richness which the Low Country has to offer. The Pelican Watch Villa unit was very nice, spacious and most of all, CLEAN. We greatly enjoyed sunset viewing from both outdoor deck levels, the easy access to the beach for walking, the amenities of the island (restaurant/bar/pool in easy walking distance), and greatly appreciated the super support of the Seabrook Exclusives team. In conclusion, it should be stated how much of a family friendly vacation spot both Seabrook Island and the Charleston area are. Just wonderful!
