How To Golf Like A Pro On Seabrook Island

Welcome to Seabrook Island, a private oceanfront community where golf meets Lowcountry luxury! Nestled among picturesque natural surroundings, tranquil waterways teeming with wildlife, and beautiful Atlantic beaches, Seabrook Island’s two award-wining Audubon Sanctuary golf courses offer an unparalleled golfing experience surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.

In 1996, the Seabrook Island Club became the first golf club in South Carolina to become a certified member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf and the island’s eco-friendly golf courses continually rank among the “best you can play” golf courses in South Carolina.

The private Seabrook Island Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Ocean Winds Golf Course and Crooked Oaks Golf Course, open only to members and Seabrook Island guests with a club amenity card – a premier level of privacy, picturesque surroundings, and year-round PGA professional golf … without the crowds! Seabrook Island rental guests may only schedule tee times up to 3 days in advance.

Ocean Winds Golf Course

Par-72 | Rating 74.1 | Slope 144 | Yardage 6,802

Established in 1973, the Ocean Winds Golf Course is Seabrook Island’s first golf course, designed by William Byrd and newly renovated by world-renowned golf architect Rees Jones and co-designer Bryce Swanson. This challenging course winds through saltwater marshes, palmettos and live oaks on the front nine on to the Atlantic Ocean with challenging dune holes and sea breezes on the back nine.

Crooked Oaks Golf Course

Par-72 | Rating 72.9 | Slope 137 | Yardage 6,780

In 1980, the Seabrook Island Clubhouse was built, followed by the opening of the Crooked Oaks Golf Course in 1981. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the Crooked Oaks course exudes timeless southern elegance as you challenge your golf skills through the Lowcountry landscapes of century-old live oaks, saltwater marshes, and lush maritime forests. Both courses feature US kids’ courses and family tees so your junior golfers can play the Seabrook Island golf courses too!

State-Of-The-Art Practice Facilities

The recent renovations at Seabrook Island Club include exceptional state of the art practice facilities that will take your game to the next level. Practice facility features include a 40,000 sq ft practice tee, an adjacent fairway bunker to perfect your bunker shots, five target greens, two large putting greens, and a separate short game area with three bunkers, a short fairway, and a 3,000 sq ft green that will have you feeling like a golf pro in no time!

PGA Professional Golf Instruction

Take your game to new heights with Seabrook Island Club’s team of PGA coaching professionals. Whether you’re looking for private PGA professional led coaching, a group session, or junior coaching sessions for the kids (summer only), they’ve got you covered! Rental guests may book golf instruction up to three days in advance at the Seabrook Island Club Golf Pro Shop.
